Solved : Iray preview keeps restarting : updating geometry

I recently, and for no apparent reason, the Iray preview keeps restaring after a few iterations and, therefore, never finishes. The main Iray renderer works fine, however.

The log just says "updating geometry" and "updating motion transforms" when this is happening.

Does anyone have any ideas? At least point me at a cetain direction to troubleshoot this.

    Nevermind, I figured it out. Two characters with the same type of item fitted to them. One character made invisible (click on the little eye icon) but the item fitted to it was visible. It seems the item tried to follow the visible character's morphs.

     

    Anyway, if I restore visibility to the items everything works fine.
