since upgrading to 414, my computer screen goes completely blank during a rendering. the only thing visible is the mouse pointer. Is anyone else having this problem?

I have not seen this myself, but it may depend on your GPU hardware and its driver. Are you using an nVidia GPU? Do you have the latest drivers installed? Is there adequate cooling or are there other applications attempting to utilize the GPU during rendering (e.g. Photoshop, video players, Firefox browser, etc.)? Do you have a CPU or GPU render selected? etc etc etc
No other active apps are running. I haveGPU selected but it is defaulting to CPU because of the size of the image. I had the computer freeze up on me in the past as DAZ used 100% of the CPU but then this happens, the screen goes totally blank except for the mouse pointer which I can freely use. In the past when the system would freeze due to memory problems, the mouse pointer would not move. Now it does which would seem to indicate that it is not a memory problem.
It still may be a driver issue with your GPU resetting itself, if that is what your monitor is plugged into. Is your monitor plugged into the GPU or an on-board video? Anyway, make sure your video driver(s) is up to date, and you're using the latest public release of DAZ.
Thank you. This started when I upgraded to the latest public release of DAZ. It wasn't happening before that.
How do I upgrade my GPU drivers? Doesn't that happen automaticly when windows updates? Cause I've never manually updated those drivers.
You should never let windows update your GPU drivers, never ever...
