3D Printing Daz Models for Sale

I'm a bit confused by the legal stuff. Which type of license do you need to be able to print Daz models on a 3d printer and sell them?

TBH   the best thing to do is query this directly with Daz 3d  by using the "Contact Us" button and filing a help request. Neither moderators nor the forum members can give you a definitive answer to this query, as the forums are peer to peer.

  • OK, thanks

  • The basic EULA does not allow commercial printing - you would need to contact Sales Support to discuss the terms for such use.

what do they mean by commerical printing? If I sell an illustration or a book cover it's going to be commercially printed.
Is it commercial printing if someone has there own 3d printer?
And didn't daz offer a deal for 3d printing?
Was that limited for personal copies?

3D printing is allowed under the standard license only for strictly personal use. If the result is going to be sold or used in soem way to promote a business, regardless of how it is produced, then Sales needs to be contacted.

  • probably shouldn't cost much.. considering a lisence to use something in animation is usually $5?

There's no extra license to use content in animations, that's covered by standard license.
