Render Settings re-setting to default

Hi all, Since installing 4.14 I find that my render settings are not being saved when I save a scene, e.g. Environment Map resets to default and Saturation reverts back to default 1.0 (I work in B&W, with Sat =0).

I have ticked the appropriate setting in Daz (Edit-Preferences-Scene-RenderSettings-'Record when saving a file', but that doesn't resolve this issue for me. I also haven't ticked 'Ignore when opening a scene file'.

Not sure if this is a known issue with 4.14 or, if not, if anyone can advise what I'm doing wrong - never had this issue with previous versions.

  • These are full scenes, not Scene subsets, and you haven't deleted the nodes in the Scene for Environment and ToneMapper?

  • Thanks Richard, I now understand why these are included in the Scene tab in 4.14.

I cant figure this out. The environment render setting are not being saved regardless of keeping the env. / tonemap nodes or not. HDRI maps and setting are saved. I'm using 4.14.0.10. I've also ticked the box in preferences to save settings.

Edit/Update: I found out whats going on. The environment mode in render settings is being changed. You can load an environment setting (time of day) and it renders fine in Environment Mode Dome/Scene but when you save the scene and reload it you have to switch to Sun-Sky Only in order to render how it was saved. This is not ideal because point and spot lights wont render in that mode

and not to ignore them on loading? I know others have had similar issues, so you are not alone.
