Diffeo and Instance Groups

I'm using the preloads in Scifi Ship Building Blocks (https://www.daz3d.com/scifi-ship-building-blocks) and Diffeo to convert to Blender. The Preloads use Instance Groups for some of the portions. Diffeo doesn't convert all the portions when loaded in Blender. The first member of the group is there, but not the rest. How should I prepare the model in Studio for a better conversion?

You will probably need the Instances to Objects add-on without the ability to import actual instances.

yep, thanks.
But one thing I didn't like is that it seemed as if Diffeo sees objects with the same name, it makes them into instances in Blender. That's not necessarily desirable.
I bought the Studio Add on and tried it out today on the Cargo ship. Converted without errors to Blender via Diffeo. Now to figure out if the Preload uses 3Delight or Iray in Studio. I'll post some test renders soon.
I just duplicate the instances in blender...it's not so bad if the geometry isn't too high in number.

There is some instancing support in diffeo. That is, most instanced objects should convert to actual blender instances, this saves memory for large scenes. I know instances work better with the unmorphed options so you may try them to import scenes. Also be sure to have instances checked in the global options.
Then to report issues to Thomas it may be better to use the diffeo repository.

Some quick renders. Blender shader node generated background "nebula" with a single sun giving some light. Cycles render.
