I have been using Install manager for a year now and just saw a comment from another member saying that we can tell the manager where to install our products.  My DS program is telling me that I have multiple copies of some files so I take a look.  Install manager is installing to users/public/public documents/my daz 3D library.  My Daz 3D studio stuff is in My Documents/Daz Studio/Studio/content.  Always has been.  I told Install manager to put my items into the My Documents/Daz Studio/Studio/Content folder and now I'm getting zip files and .dsx files installed there.  I don't know what they are.  Help?

  • Are you sure it's telling you you have "multiple copies of some files"? That isn't somethign DS usually complains about, but there are other "duplicate" errors it might be giving.

It sounmds as if you have told it to use that folder as the Package Archive, the location in which it stores the downloaded content (the zips) and their description (the dsx file). It's the  that you need to set, and you don't want the zips and dsx files there. You need the Installation tab of Advanced Settings, then click the ... button to the right of the current path in the lower half of the dialogue to change the location. You can then go back to the main window and in the Installed tab selecte everything, then right-click and choose the option to Reinstall everything using the current paths.
