DAZ Studio crashes when loading props

When I load a prop via the content window or import an OBJ file DAZ Studio (4.6.3.52 - 32bit) closes and gives me an error message.

I had a problem with my PC and had to restore it back to an ealier date, which has brought this error back again. I found the solution here when I first encountered it (I shold have made a restore point but forgot) but cannot find the post now - I think it has something to do with CMS or PostgreSQL CMS.

Please help - John

I'd suggest filing a tech support ticket with the saved bug report attached.

    Fixed now.

Just incase this happens to you, I had a problem so restored my PC to an earlier date. When I tried to import an OBJ file or load something from content window DAZ Studio closed down and gave the error message above.

I tried reinstalling DAZ Studio using DIM and manually but neither fixed the problem. Both options uninstalls DS first.

To fix the problem, I went to Control Panel and Programs and Features and uninstalled everything to do with DAZ Studio, rebooted and installed the manual one I downloaded earlier. - Now the problems is solved (fingers crossed) :)

This is my fault, I should have made the back-up after solving the problem months ago, you live and learn (as you can tell I'm no techy).

just a suggestion but if you still keep having problems with your machine, even though you think you have it fixed, you might consider just doing a complete factory reset and then installing everything from scratch.

A restore point is NOT always going to fix the issues windows can develop. just mostly.
