How do I fix the OpenGL 1.3 message every time I try to use Daz

Is there a way to remove the above message, so that Ican use daz.  Also  where can I get the needed OpenGL 1.3 update so that it doesn't block my using daz.  Thanks and Happy Christmas

What graphic card do you have on that computer? OpenGL support is needed for the GPU used by DS.

    Buy a new graphics card.

  • As of version 4.14.0.8.. DAZ Studio now requires OpenGL 4.1 as a minimum. That should be your target upgrade. Both AMD and NVIDIA offers a Windows utility to "detect and upgrade", and a drivers upgrade should also upgrade your OpenGL. Once updated, GPU Caps Viewer is a freeware utility that will tell you what version you have and give you other useful specs.

However, 1.3 is incredibly low, and this past comment from Padone in the forums may be helpful in diagnosing why that may be.... "Usually this means the video driver is not installed and Windows is using the Microsoft software OpenGL on VGA emulation." The other useful forum suggestion was to ask if DAZ Studio was being started remotely over a local network, and thus not able to hook into the remote OpenGL. The other possibility is just that you're running 15 or 20 year old hardware that has been hauled out of an attic.

Little tip, never ever let Windows update your graphic cards drivers, what you get is their generic 20 year old garbage, always get the latest drivers from the maker, ie AMD, Nvidia, Intel etc
