Smart Content Tab question

I've saved a character preset and I can see it in the content library tab if I go to the folder it's in. However I'd like to have it show up in the smart content tab.
Anyone know what I missed when I saved it or what I should do now to get it to show up in smart content?

I think it's working as intended. Items (especially presets and scenes you save) don't just show up in Smart Content, they need extra data to be added. This is why many older items from the DAZ store only show in the Content Library, DAZ is gradually adding Smart data to each product installer but it's a big job and they're nowhere near finished yet. It is possible to add the proper data to your preset, but I don't use Smart Content so you'll have to wait until someone who does turns up in the thread.
how can it be working as designed when my question was specifically "how do I make something show up in smart content pane".
Specifically, let's take the supersuit. If nothing is selected, it shows up under the figures of the smart content pane.
now I have taken the supersuit, adjusted some shapes on it, set a material I want on it and saved it as a character preset. If everything else for the supersuit shows up in the smart content pane, then obviously it's supposed to show up there.
What I want to know is how to make MY character preset of the object show up there too.
Smart Content is not smart, it is tagged content that relies on metadata support files and the CMS database. You will need to learn how to make the metadata to assign your preset to the supersuit. Like SpottedKitty I don't use Smart Content so you will have to either wait for someone to explain making metadata or try searching for the info.
okay, thank you.
I did a test and made a Genesis Supersuit Character preset and it has all of the metadata tags needed to display it in Smart Content>Files, though one tag needs to be tweaked.
1. If you select the Genesis Supersuit and then go to Smart Content>Files>Unassigned, do you see it there? If you saved it as a Supersuit Character preset, it should have a green "Wardrobe" file type. If not, holler, otherwise go to step 2.
2. Update the category to move it out of the Unassigned category. Since it was saved as a character preset, you could change the category to Presets>Characters, though you can change it to any of the categories that are displayed in the Smart Content categories when the Supersuit is selected.
3. To change your Supersuit Character preset:
a. Select the preset in the Unassigned category
b. Right click and select Categorize
c. Drill down to Categories>Default>Presets and enable the Characters check box (or any category where you want to preset to show up). Click on the Accept button.
4. To test: The preset should have been moved from the Unassigned category and can be found in Presets>Characters.
