Missing Surface Textures for Millennium Horse

I just got the millenium horse but after trying to change the colour it does not have all the textures for fur colour and other variables, only the settings for visible & non visible tail, mane, fetlocks, forelocks, all white, and bump level (I don't know what that does as it has no effect). It currently only shows in plastic brown, how do I get the full textures to show up?

Look in the Poser runtime under Poses. Check all the possibilities, MATS, any reference to Daz animals, etc.
There are only poses there and no textures, I have even checked sub divisions
It's possible that not very much came with the very basic Horse model. Separate from the poses, there is the folder under Pose, "MAT Mil Horse" ... to turn the horse white or black, etc. {not Iray settings, are for 3Delight}
The basic model is years old. There used to be some extra textures for it sold separately. For a nicer horse to work with, Horse 2 is the more up-to-date model.
You can make textures for the 1st horse, it is uvmapped :-) Might be able to find some at sharecg.com etc.
yes texture pack 1&2 are no longer in the store
you can get free textures here

Glad you found that link Wendy. Lyne's textures are a treasure :-)
I made a 'new' D/S mat file for the Mil Horse LE which I have installed on this laptop. Put it anywhere under My Library but not in the Runtime folders. Then look for it under the D/S folders in the Content Library pane.
It should make visible some mane and the fetlocks. For some reason the older poses don't seem to be working over here to show them.
{textures for LE and the regular old horse normally work on both editions}
The textures that came with the Millennium Horse Pro Pack were, to put it mildly, terrible anyway. If you are serious about using Millennium Horse in renders, I highly recommend picking up CWRW's textures. They aren't available on the Daz Store, but you can find some at Hivewire3D and others at Renderosity. If you want to get the ones at Hivewire3D, you better move fast, though. Hivewire3D is closing on January 4th I think it is, and the future of some of the content they have is uncertain as of right now. Some of it is moving to Renderosity, but not all of it.
Do those have bump and/or normal maps? I returned one of her sets for a daz horse (not sure which one) because all of the shading for local relief was painted on the diffuse map.
They don't come with any bump maps, no. Although I've achieved pretty good results using the ones that come with the model. I've also occasionally made my own by just desaturating the textures and then playing with the brightness and contrast until I get the effect I want. That works pretty well.
I have tried 3rd party textures but they do not work as they do not appear in the software
they do work but you might have to do some work to and load them in your surface tab diffuse channels
or use the Poser content browser not smart content since these are actually Poser format figures
if you can only use one click solutions you need to use Horse 2 that is duf format
How do I get them to load in to the installation properly? There is nothing showing up at all in the content panel. I don't know what to do to add diffuse channels, I can't find anythig to do with them in the surface menu.

might help
Poser content is different to and predates DAZ studio
you need to look in your runtime directory under Pose or Materials depending on the item
not your DAZ content library
DAZ added things like metadata to some older products later so they show in the content library but normally one would load them from the figures section of the Poser format library
Lynes are found under libraries\Character\LynesMilHorse\ and libraries\Pose\LyneMilHrsMats\
that is the Poser format Library not content called in most cases My Library
my Screenshot that is actually empty because I have several of them and denote them My DAZ 3D Library, Not DAZ content etc as I own piles of stuff on several drives not my C drive I added them as shown on the previous link
It would have been less confusing if I had shown you my Win7 one as that's more traditional name wise but I am not on that PC at the moment
Anything you install from something other than Daz Central or Install Manager will not show up in the Products, Categories, or Smart Content folders because the content database doesn't know about it. To find these products, you have to look under My Daz 3D Library for Daz content, or Poser Formats for Poser format stuff, as WendyLuvzCatz pointed out. Assuming you copied the runtime folder into the default location (which is C:\Users\Public Documents\Daz 3D\content IIRC), then the textures will show up under Poses where Wendy pointed out.
If you have a large runtime library, you might get into a situation where you have a hard time finding where something installed. In that case, you can open the zip file and just look through it until you find where things were copied to. For example, I have a zip file with the folder structure "runtime\libraries\pose\CWRW Horse Textures Pack 1". in Daz, you will find that under Poser Formats -> My Daz 3D Library -> Poses -> CWRW Horse Textures Pack 1.
I installed in to the same folders in runtime but there is nothing appearing in the content library for the horse, the only thing there are the city blocks.
The files I have are not the textures for Millenium Horse and now I check back to the link I find the website is gone. I don't have any textures and there is none available. I also cannot access the documentation on installing unoficial content as it is blocked. What can I do with this?
sadly Lyne passed away a few months ago
Internet archive did not do the zips

pity, they were up when I shared the link
Wrote this for an other thread
Each file I have to install is different with sub folders that do not match any directory in the user folder. If I attempt to extract them to the user folder then open one in Studio I get this message followed by constant error after error forcing me to restart as it will not let me close Studio. This appears to be an issue occuring on the D drive but I do not have any other drive other than C
Sorry, I had no Idea she ha passed away :(
Are you sure they are files for DAZ Studio? or are they some freebies made by inexperienced creators...
They are supposed to be for DAZ Studio, they are on Renderosity and it states for Daz 3D.

It seems to have the textures in a .zip file but I still get the same error and I don't have a D drive to create the path
Downloaded... And it doesn't really have an installation package. This building would need to be made to follow the real folder structure and that could take some time along with fixing the texture paths within the main file.
One solution to load the building, would be to extract everything into one (completely new) folder, and when DS starts to ask for missing textures, direct DS to that folder for them.
