Stupid problem

My puppet has an animation attached that I can't get rid of without also getting rid of the base pose. When I 'save as' for a 'pose' the pose either doesn't show up as an option so I can re apply it while the puppet is selected, or if I unselect the puppet so I CAN find the pose it doesn't work. The floor goes clear, in this case. Why a pose would do that is beyond me, but it means I can't 'clear animation' and just re apply it. It is a custom pose so I am using the timeline, I never use animate. I already cleared the keyframes, so that's not it.

I'm having a little trouble following what you are doing. Someone else may come along and readily see. In the meantime, could you post a few images. How are you saving, are you saving a pose preset? Or what? Also which version of Studio are you using on what OS?

I'm using 4.6. I was testing animations, but don't need the attached animation anymore. The keyframes are gone, but the animation is still there. The starting pose is a custom pose so I don't want to lose it.

I DID manage to make this work late last night, the second saved pose didn't want to load until closed and restarted the program. Not sure why that made a difference.

I was then able to line up my shots and start the render. AVI at 1080, but I find only 77 frames done 9 hours later. 4Ghz system, 4G ram and a separate video card, no shared memory issues. I've restarted the render at 720p and I'll see if that goes any faster.

Yeah, the render time is not looking good. By my math, it would take 3 days to render 1500 frames of video at 720p. That's less than a minute, and heaven forbid I want to use 1080p for good definition. I stopped that one at 8 hours and 77 frames.

My current project is a 30 minute(ish) film. At a rough average of 2 minutes per week, that's 4 months of render time. TOO LONG!

This tool had it's upsides, and has great potential, but it has some real killers in it's flaws. The render time is only one. Not being able to move keyframes is another.

Unless someone has a suggestion on how to speed render time.
