Need help to get shadows on a surface on a prim with texture!

I made a texture with gimp on a hopscotch on an image!
I put it on a prim and then placed it on the ground.
if you look at the image you can see the hopscotch is to bright
and there should be shadows on it as it is on the ground!
The texture itself is transparent and only the white lines are
visual!

For the surface for the prim I put the hopscotch texture on the
channel for the Opacity strength. I don't know if I did it wrong
or not! The Opacity strength is set to 100%!

Hope you understand what I need help with!

Thanks!

Alf

You can adjust the Diffuse colour of the primitive to give it a better tone, but it may be better to render to PNG or the like and then layer the render of the hopscotch pattern over the backdrop image and adjust the blending mode (to screen, perhaps) and opacity to get the desired look. Make a third render of the child and layer that on top with normal blending mode.
