Combining addons

Hey, I'm learning Daz and want to purchase some addons but i'm not sure they will work the way i imagine and dont want to waste money before i ask.... tried looking for an answer but i'm still not sure i got it -

So I want to but a certain character for Genesis 8, but I also want to buy a skin add-on, but I also want to buy skin-enhancer, but I also already purhcased a face-morph addon.

Will they all be able to work with each other? Will I be able to apply the face-morph addon on a specific character i'm buying, assuming they're both G8? And then can I apply the skin-enhancer on it?

Can I combine different skin-enahncer addons to get a more detailed or accurate result?

Can i use a skin-fold addon on any character? (again assuming they're all for G8)

 

I know these are super noob questions but there isn't seem to be clear answers about it, at least where iwas looking (google and the forums)

Morphs will certainly mix-and-match, though how well varies; you can also use textures from one character with a different morph or morph combination.

Whether a skin enhancing shader will mix with a aprticular character is harder to be sure, most of those I am aware of use the currently applied textures but there is a fair degree of variability in set up so there may be issues. Combining two different add-ons is even more uncertain - one that adds additional maps might well mix with one that adjusted base settings without touching maps, but two that both adjusted settings would probably not mix. You really need to give specific examples for anyone to answer with confidence.

Again, thanks for anyone replying. I try to thoroughly read the descriptions of each product and some do a better job explaining but most just don't. I'm sure it's because I still haven't wrapped my head around the whole workflow yet.

 Click either your name or your avatar image   and  then you can click the blue gear icon on that page  (next to messages)   that gives you a link to all your posts and threads.

No, but the the morphs for Marcus build upon what is provided in Darius. If you don't have Darius, the morphs win Marcus should load, but the result will not look the same as they would look if you had Darius. You may or may not like the result. It almost certainly will not look exactly like the promo images, because those will have used Darius morphs with Marcus morphs.

Edit: The Marcus product does not even list Darius as a requirement. It says it is a character for Genesis 8 Male. Based on that (if the product description is accurate), you shouldn't need Darius at all.

Remember that if you make a mistake and buy something that does not work, you can submit a help request to customer service and ask to return the product for a refund.

barbult thank you SO MUCH!!!!!! It's all way clearer now. Honestly thanks for taking the time. I had no idea I could return purchaes if they didn't work as intended, that makes the process much lighter.
