Genesis 3 Female - Posing broken
So I have a gigantic issue that quite literally affects all my projects that involve Genesis 3 Females (dozens to hundreds), all my poses and everything down from the Genesis 3 Female base model. I went to modify an asset- file > Save as> save support asset > save modified asset. I saw the warning of which files would be modified (I have backups of everything) and hit ok. When I went to load another project...the pose was default- it had been posed. The clothing is posed properly, but the figure isn't. See pictures that are attached- they are in hidden wire frame to avoid graphic detail- and they are necessary to show what's going on, so please moderators, don't remove them.
I restored the base file and the base assets and what have you- still nothing. I think a link somewhere got busted and I'm totally clueless as to how to fix it, other than reinstalling my entire Genesis 3 female content (which is last ditch option because...well i have a lot and would be a literal work week to rebuild.) FYI- everything worked flawlessly prior to the saved asset thing.
I can't go back through and repose anything because even the base model with a base pose doesn't work (i re-installed starter essentials- no go.) So um, yeah. I need to know what happened and how to fix it other than reinstallation. Attached is a screenshot and the log file; the log file is the opening of daz, inserting a base g3f figure and selectiong the first starter essential pose. I'm going to be investigating myself and if i figure out the cause I'll reply back.
Here's hoping to a magical bullet solution.
EDIT 1:
Created a 'test' folder on a separate drive to test out a fresh install of the Genesis 3 Female Starter Essentials. Worked fine. Stripped it down to the bare bones- reducing the geometry to rectangles. Poses worked in this 'test' folder. If anyone has any idea what file is causing the poses not to work- feel free to drop the answer.
EDIT 2:
I changed the color to indicate it's new. I think I figured out the problem and working the theory. The conclusion attached to said theory is not pleasant and quite disgusting.
EDIT 3:
The DSON file got borked. The one from the server that the software brought down, was bad (6 different times over 24 hours). Had to use a DSON file from 2015 to get things working again. Question- why would the file on the server be broken?

What was saved as modifed, to the extent that you can remember? Loking through the log it could be that all of the joint modifiers are gone in some way, or relabelled at least, but if so reinstalling should have fixed the issue (unless there's a bad copy of the file(s) in a cotnent directory that DS reads before it gets to the one with the installed files).
That's the kicker, I don't remember changing anything. When i loaded the base model through the 'open' sequence, the file contained 'Genesis 3 Female' and 'Abdomen'. When the posing broke after saving, i deleted the modified and put the original i had moved onto another drive, back into it's place. posing still broken.
What's really odd, is that i've been copying over a small amount of files each time into the 'testing' bin, and so far, every file is fine.
yeah, I'm not sure what else it would be feeding on for the base model. I'm referencing my zip backup (kept on a different drive- Z:) with the testing folder (on a different drive- N:) while copying files from E:\content into testing. So far, the posing in 'Testing' is still working. So beats me on what's going on.
All i know is that when i figure it out, i'm not touching the genesis 3 female base model again.

I put the edit in the original post to keep everything together.
EDIT 3:

I figured out the problem- a DSON file got wonky when I 'saved support asset' and bringing down the 'starter essentials' from the server with the fresh DSON filie...didn't work. Turns out, the DSON file from 6-22-2015 (the one i have in my archive Zip for backup purposes) is the correct file vs the one that Daz Studio pulled down from the servers, which is broken. I know it's broken because the software pulled down that file at least 6 different times over the last 24 hours. Only when I replaced it with the archived one, did it actually function.
My question is: why would the file on the server be broken? The archived one is 771 KB vs the server one of 451 KB. That's compressed for both.
