Scratchbuilding Buildings
I have several kits where you can create scenes, and am trying to create a building+the interiors. I have a "basement" + fist floor done (walls, ceilings, floors), but before I go too much further, I wanted to ask a hive mind question.
1. If I know I want to use specific props in a room, is it better to build the individual rooms first, then add the exterior walls, doors and windows; or
2. Build the exterior first then work inwards?
I am trying to create a modern lovecraftian-type asian parlor, which will be used in a horror story I am developing, so while I'd be disappointed in having to start from scratch again, I don't mind, as I want the atmosphere to be right (dark, mysterious, sort of sinister-but can't put your finger as to why) :)

I would build an exterior model and each interior room separately. This will make it easier to postion cameras etc. Think of it as building film sets
