Everyday 2 sets

Does anyone have a clear idea of what's included in the three different Everyday 2 sets from Aeon Soul on sale today? Are the shirt and pants in each set the same (so that only the morphs and poses differ from set to set), or does each set come with a (subtly) different pair of shirt/pants?
I find that the promo images, showing off all the variant morphs, make it hard to figure out exactly how the wardrobe items differ from each other (if, indeed, they do).

Hey there, they are the same.
Basically a stripped down version of our Everyday 2 for G8 female which allows for full compatibility with that package and with any of its textures and the texture add-ons.
Let us know if you have more questions/ doubts and happy new year :D!
this is not a complaint but a plea... I did get all the sets a few days ago... they've always been impressive but in general they don't fulfill my one need which keeps them from being a week of sale purchase.
Any chance of having pants that reach the ankles and go up to the waist... plain old blue jean style as it were?
Or are there morphs in there that I'm missing.
Basically the pants like in Everyday Cyberpunk for Gen 3 males.. but for both male and female gen 8 and working with the morphs?
I understand that's a lot to ask.
We have worked on alternative/longer versions for the pants (and the shirt) and achieved some pretty good results. However longer pants need to be a different item as they need their own rigging and JCMs and so on.
What we managed is full UV compatibility, which means any EveryDay 2 texture is going to work on the longer pants versions with minor stretching, but morphs, any morphs, both the regular ones and more extreme ones such as those included in these poses+morphs packages, are something that needs to be re-done from scratch.
The way we look at thinks it does not really matter if it's a lot to ask, because we do like to stretch Daz Studio capabilities and also our own and our products', it's interesting and can be really fun. However some things just aren't going to work and that's what, ultimately, stops us.
I hope this answers your questions, if now just let me know!
Hi,
im probably just to stupid to find them but how do i get the pants and shirts from the promo pictures of "Everyday 2 Daily Poses and Clothes Vol.2 for Genesis 8 Females" and "Everyday 2 Daily Poses and Clothes Vol.1 for Genesis 8 Female(s)". All the cloths i got look the same as in the base everday 2 package.
Hi,
The poses+clothes only include a basic version of Everyday 2 clothes, because they are the means to deliver the actual product, which is the poses-matching morphs. They do not include any texture/style apart from the one the clothes load with.
Since any Everyday2 texture add-on package is compatible with the basic clothes, we chose to use our Customize sets for the main image to hint to that.
I'm tempted but need to know a couple of things first.
1. Are we able to buy and use each product as a stand-alone or is there a "master" set and the others are just add-ons? I don't have Everyday 2 Clothes but I think they might be required for textures.
2. Do they fit G8F body morphs such as overweight, elderly or Growing-Up?
just crossed my mind... how about pant leg extensions and a waist band (girdle / sash) that would go above and below.
---
probably outside a box of probability ... but it cross my mind because I just used mesh grabber to make some over the knees socks go up under the tunic of the set... because didn't need the miniskirt look
---
maybe once I put the shorts on ... I can fit a pair of the long pants and cut off the middle with geo edit. limited usability but the pieces won't have to follow just work for the render
I created a post that hopefully clarify some of these points and where we can also add in terms of instructions and FAQs:
https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/462761/everyday-2-series-explanation-of-every-product-faqs#latest
1. All the poses + matching morphs are standalone, in fact the clothing set they include is barebone.
Initially we had imagined these as add-ons for Everyday 2, then we realized the potential was all there and did not want people to need everyday 2 in order to enjoy them. We decided to include a stripped-down version of the everyday 2 clothes so that these could be purchased/used as standalone...
2. ... that is why there aren't any morphs included, but some helper ones.
The clothes do work properly as in they are rigged etc., but it's not a full clothing set as in all the features you normally get from our regular clothing set. They are meant as a means to delivery the matching-morphs feature.
That said everyday 2 G8 does include several body morphs (although I don't think we did include elderly and growing up which we don't have/use)
Thanks for your reply but I'm not sure that I quite understand even now because of your choice of words. Could you explain how a "barebone" or "stripped down" version actually differs from a regular clothing set? Or the difference between morphs and helpers?
So, that's exactly the point, when it comes to an image or a specific situation, the sky's the limit, you can use a miriad tool to achieve the result you are after.
When something has to work in any situation, there's a whole different story.
What you are suggesting would be achievable with geografting, but geografting presents the very same rigging issues when it comes to clothing: it needs to be rigged. Anything that adds to the clothes boundaries is not going to follow G8 movements if it's not rigged.
We tested this out extensively on our current project and unfortunately it cannot work.

The standard Everyday 2 clothes include:
supported chaacters like "Eva 8"
supported morphs like "breast cleavage"
morphs like "fitness size"
helper morphs like "inflate all"; one could "inflate" by just enlarging the scale but the helps refine the other morphs
Dforce settings and morphs
The pose sets include:
poses/morphs for undressed poses
no other character or fitting morphs
no Dforce
So the pose sets are stripped down outfits.
Thank you.
My pleasure. The additional sets are interesting; people forget that rigging is apperently the most arduous taks followed by modeling. These are excellent examples of both and can be used to create scenes that would be impossible any other way.
I use the term barebone compared to what we usually include in a clothing set: movement morphs, custom JCMs, shape morphs, fitting morphs (depending on the kind of set) and whatever else features may be necessary.
Also we always include a variety of texture styles or style variants.
I think it's easy to understand if you compare the features of our Everyday 2 G8 clothes (full-fledged) with those of the clothes included in the poses+fitting morphs (stripped down version):
Everyday 2 G8 (full-fledged):
- 13 body morphs
- 26 character morphs
- 13 helper morphs for the shirt + 19 for the pants
- 21 movement morphs for the shirt + 36 for the pants
- D-force settings
- 5 texture styles with some variants
Clothes included in the poses + matching morphs packages (stripped-down versions)
- 6 helper morphs for the shirt + 9 for the pants
- D-force settings
- 1 texture style
As said, the geometry and rigging are basically the same, but the features are different.
Everyone has their preferences, but yeah, rigging can be very tedious and challenging depending on the clothing set and features one wants to include. A lof of under the hood work that you cannot see until the product get used.
