I was able to follow an example someone else had done with the @nameofartist to make my way to that person to send a message.  I know it's probably the wrong place to suggest this but, why not just let a potential customer right click the artist's name to get a mini list of options that included emailing them from withing daz?  Left clicking it take you to their work.

    Anyway, thanks :)

You're not wrong!  Forums and the gallery should be connected.  In my case, for different reasons.  I link a couple of my galleries in my signature, and I'd love to be able to see what kind of work people who are active in the forums are themselves doing.   If someone's giving advise, it's helpful to be able to check that person's taste and skill level.  What works for them might not work for me.

In the meantime, in the Before Time, you could leave comments under gallery images, and people could opt to receive emails to notify them of those comments.  There was nothing stop you from leaving a "Please PM me" comment.
