Deforce Explosion problem

When I use defoce in Daz 4.14 with two characters in th scene wearing a deforce outfit the outfit creates the appearence of having exploded into a jumbled mess.

Is there a setting I need to apply to stop this happening ?

I assumed outfits that are described as being deforce outfits would work without any problems.

thanks.

  • If it happens with two characters and not with one I'd suspect that the two are intersecting during the simulation, trapping the dForce mesh between them - with no way to resolve the simulation as a result it will explode. Check that as they go from the memorised pose and/or through the timeline that the figures don't pass parts through each other.

Thanks Richard, I actually moved them away from each other and it still does it.

Also is there a way to only have one character affected by dforce at a time so I don't have to repeat simulation every time I change one characters pose for example?

    thanks.

The usual reason why explosions happen is that stiffness is too high  Reduce it and everything should work fine.

If this is an advertised Dforce item it should be configured properly but who knows.

Select the items you want to simulate, both the dynamic items and anything they are to collide with, then from the Simulation Settings pane's option menu (the lined button in the top corner, or right-click the tab) click Simulate Selected.

    thanks.
