I really want to get her as she looks fantastic but, yeah, I can't swing that much right now. First chance I get though I'll be picking her up.
It looks like a new vendor (VOOTW) as well. Looks pretty, but I have the same feeling about the price.
They also mention Full Body Apply, so I do not know, if head and body morph are separated.

It's a nice enough character, but nothing that seems to justify the higher-than-usual price. Dunno what Daz was thinking.

I think all the characters are great characters. Problem is, they're mostly redundant. I have plenty of pretty faces and don't need any more. Change the price of this character to $3.99 and I still wouldn't buy it because I have equivalents. I think this is something the PA's are not realizing, thy keep cranking out the same-ol' same-ol' and I'm going to bet they're not seeing the same kind of money from two and three years ago. You're working harder for less. Now, give me a good Uncle Sam character with a good outfit (and looks real, not a cartoon), my wallet will snap open. You PA's need to start thinking in terms of what HASN'T been done yet, not what used to sell well two years ago.
I started nov. 2019 with daz3d and grabbed in 2020 over 400GB of content and... I am "filled", I dont think I need much more from normal stores, also its sad to see how much stuff is just repeating, no idea why all these skilled artist doesnt try to build the products who are missing.
The Wishlist is open in the Forum and yeah...
I've found that the best Asian characters here for my tastes are ones from Bluejuante (sp?) because I lean towards trying to acheive photorealistic renders and everything else seems slightly or very styilized except for a couple that look like Lucy Liu. There's an DA over at cgbytes called DaYin who's Asian characters facial morphs are really great. The skins aren't to hot but apply a really good skin setup from your favorite character and they look amazing.
You should definitely check out East Asian Women.
Yeah I`m in the same boat. I strive for photorealism also.
I never use a stock character without modifications, especially when interacting with other characters. All of their skin and HD details have to "match" to make it took like they all "belong" in the scene togtether.
I`m a huge Bluejuante fan as well as Mousso. But I still have to modify skin and details to match them up together.
I have a few DaYin characters that I purchased a while back but used only a couple of times. They are more "authentic" asian looking in the faces, than what Daz offers.
When I look at them now, they are`nt very detailed, and because of that, even with a skin makeover, they look a bit "toonish" when placed in a scene with HD characters.
I`ve even tried adding HD details to them, and added some height (they are quite short), but they just dont seem as realistic.
Although I don`t get many requests for asians or any other ethnic type characters, it would be nice see more realistic ones, just in case.
"DaYin" Caracters?
She reminds me the main character from some chinese movies: A Chinese Ghost Story and A Chinese Fairy Tale.
I like her ghostly aspect.
Hope to see some more render before the purchase.
The creators name at cgbytes, renderhub and renderotica. I have a couple and the morphs are nice, but as noted the skin isn't anything special.
I think DaYin is publishing at DAZ under the name "Goanna"

Check out Sue character-and-hair-for-genesis-8-female she renders nicely. With a few adjustments and kitbashing you get decent vellus and other fine detail.

Ahhh, think I returned the only one I've tried as I found the skin texture too stylised. Not tried any more as prefer not to buy expecting to return.

It looks like she's been removed from the store, as of now.
I'd love to know why. I hate that DAZ removes purchased items from the store, doesn't notify the purchasers,and gives no explanation for the removal.
If there was a techincal issue, I'd like to be informed so that I don't use the model for a project and waste my time.
A lot of items have been removed in the last few days. As far as I know, the other stores were being restructured to make them Daz Originals. Maybe the same thing is going on here.

No. It's a very nice looking character but it's not what I look for.
I've got Mei Ling, Kayo, Bluejaunte's then Ulaan from Rendo and some of DaYin from CGBytes and that's pretty much the style I need/want.
Oh what a shame she's gone. I'd hoped to grab her on sale. :(
