Setting up Daz Studio 4.14 Pro for NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050

I have a Lenovo Legion Y530 with Intel Core i5 8th gen with 8 GB of RAM and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 (I also have a discrete Intel UHD Graphics 630) running the NVIDIA Studio Driver 460.89. I am running into several issues with rendering with Daz3D. Primary problem being the renderer using the CPU and my NVIDIA graphics card is left untouched for all renders. I render using Iray and using Genesis 8 models. Even the most primitive single G8 model or even G3 model renders are not using my graphics card.

Any help is appreciated and much needed.Thanks.

  • 4GB isn't much GPU memory, especially as recent versions of Iray take a substantial chunk on non-RTX cards like yours for emulating the RTX features. It does appear the card can use another 4GB sahred memory, but with only 8GB of system memory I suspect little of that will be available. Can you do an Iray render of a promitive, from Create>New Primitive, in an otherwise empty scene?

Yes with ease but without using NVIDIA GPU. frown If my graphics card is useless, any suggestions as to doing lightweight iray renders on CPU?
