Understanding morph categorization

While reading another thread, something odd occurred to me and I'm wondering if anybody can explain why it's like this. Morphs appear to be in the subcategory they are in of course, and in All, and in SOME parent categories, but not all of those parent categories. For example, if you type "Nipples Depth" into the search field, then click on the various categories/subcategories in the left pane, you can find it in all of the following locations:
Genesis > Torso > Universal > "Real World"
Genesis > Torso > Universal
Genesis > Torso
All
However, it CAN'T be found in
Genesis
Why is that? Is the top level category "Genesis" special because it's the top level, or for some other reason?

These are the sections mine show up in. What do you mean by it wont' show up in Genesis? I don't have a Genesis category.
All
All > Actor
All > Actor > Upper Body
All > Actor > Upper Body > Torso
All > Actor > Upper Body > Torso > Universal
All > Actor > Upper Body > Torso > Universal > Real World
See screenshot, highlighted in yellow. I seem to have a slightly different view than you for whatever reason, I have "Genesis" where you have "General". And I just checked both the Parameters (which has a General under Genesis) and Shaping panes, and see that the search does actually work in the Parameters pane, just not in the Shaping pane.
In the Shaping tab Actor should be at the top, the fact that you have Genesis there as well as in the Parameters tab makes me think you've buggered your copy of Genesis.
Time to uninstall both it and any morphs you have for it, and then download fresh copies from your product library.
