Best fix for Hair artifacts in DS 4.14 in renders.

Okay, another new-to-DS, ex-poser user silly question. If you look close at this image, you see red 'sparkles' in Lara's hair. I bumped the Render Converged ratio up to 98%, plus the max samples is 5000 and DS stopped after 1300 or so.

So my question is which fix would experienced users try first? I don't want to do things back wards (or fix a house-on-fire by seeking fire-proof undies!)!

  1. Adjust the lighting? (Lighting is a free addon from a G8F character & named a "Skydome Light Preset").
  2. Adjust the hair shader/surface values? (This is WF Matilda Hair, and they do include 'shine' utilites)

This is "Lara for Genesis 8 Female" and the props are DM's Art Unlimited. Many thanks.

The hair comes not only with "Shine" options, but also "Backlight" options.  If you turn the Backlight setting off, the sparkles should go away.  It seems to happen with HDRI lighting, but when I just use spotlights with this hair, I don't have the issue.

Many thanks! That is helpful. Yes, I am experimenting with lighting, but have not yet found a good combo.
