translation arrows "slippage" in 4.6.3.50

I've been noticing in the build I have which 4.6.3.50 when I grab one of the x,y,z translation arrows my cursor "slips" off constantly and it's like trying to catch a fish with my bare hands to grab it again
My nVidia drivers appear to be up to date but I'm not in front of my Windows box right now so I need to check when I get home (GForce 340.42 WHQL July 2014 is the latest and that sounds like the last time I checked)
Did anyone else notice this behavior and if so does anyone know of a thread or report with this?
Win 7 64 bit, DS Adv 4.6.3.50, i7 920, 12GB DDR3, GTS 250 1GB DDR3
Dual Monitor setup, 1200x1920 view (rotated to portrait), 1920x1080 palettes (at landscape)

If you mean right at the beginning when you first try to grab it, yes, this has been driving me batty for a while now. The workaround is to click the arrow, then WAIT AND DO NOTHING for a full second or so before starting to move the mouse. There will be a pause, then the translation arrow will be highlighted, then ?sometimes? it will suddenly un-highlight, then re-highlight, at which point you are good to go. If you try to just grab it and move it right away, sometimes that works but then sometimes you'll suddenly be rotating the object instead of translating it, or you'll be moving the mouse by itself, because you've lost or never actually grabbed the translation handle.
If you mean after that, then no, once I get past that point it seems fine for me.
I don't think I've actually reported it, because while as much as I'd like for it to work better, I'm betting it's not a "bug" per say but rather it just takes that long to get it self sorted in the mouse click. But if you report it and it gets fixed, that'd be awesome.

It's always encouraging when someone else is being driven nuts for the same reason. Then It's not just me.
The behavior is you click, the drag selector responds with a highlight meaning it's engaged then you "slip off" and have to wait before it appears to reattach itself by you selecting it again, but at that point it might slip again. I do think behavior is a bug as the sliders are "responding" before the cursor disengages prematurely.
Me three, although in my case I usually discover I'm suddenly manipulating one of the View tab controls. Up-to-date (I think) NVidia drivers here as well. Does this only happen with the Translation tool? I'm sure this glitch has cropped up once or twice with one of the other tools selected.
Offhand I only recall seeing it while attempting to use the translation arrow points on the universal tool myself.
I normally hover over the arrow until it changes color -- I don't remember it ever being different, it always took a second to register.
I do the same when I initally start it, I hover the mouse, the drag slider highlights, I begin to move the slider, the pointer disengages from the slider.
