Daz 4.15 Pro won't keep Models installed 1/18/2021
I got to install the "NEW" 3d Models I just purchased off their website and they install 30% of the time, the rest of of the time I have click to have them re-downloaded and install them again using the install app that comes with Daz 3D program, and then once their installed on the Daz app the following day I have to click on them in the Daz 3D modeling render app and have them downloaded and installed once again!!!
this is a "HUGE" pain in the ass and useless I have to wait several hours before I can use them again and pose them again too cause not all the models or morphs or textures or skins or clothing or suits or hairs or creatures or animals are back on my Daz 3D application!!! it's a good thing we don't pay to purchase a red cent on the Daz 3d rendering app, cause it would be a waste of money $$$!!!
I see the app is fancy and nice and clean, better then poser 3D program and the housing of the models is cleaner and shows icons of them on Daz, but the install part of Daz 3D app, really is not good.
they need to fix it and I have a high speed internet Spectrum 400+ bps and I have a fast computer I built my self, AMD Threadripper 8 core 4.00GHZ 32GB Ram video card 8gb, Main SSD Drive 2TB and Backup drives 5 of them from 2TB to 14TB, Mother board: ASUS ROG STRIX X399-E GAMING AMD Ryzen Threadripper TR4 DDR4 !!!

What OS and security software? Are you installing with DIM, DazCentral, or from inside DS?
wow, I never heard about that problem not have had this problem ever since I started with Daz Studio years ago.
I am running Daz Studio 4.15.
Watch the video it says it all there, I use Daz installer that comes with it!!!
I even show what my PC build is too...

Security: Windows 10 Pro 64 bit Firewall, and it allows what apps I got instaleld to download and install things easy speically whedn I have the ransomeware protection unchecked.
1. DAZ Install Manager (64-bit)
2. DazCentral (64-bit) tried this a few times, but still the same crap as the installer.
once their installed the day after i start my pc up again I have to re-install them again!!!
and also the Daz App keeps freezing up now too, ever since their new update!!!
and when i say Freezes up it "FREEZES UP" my entire computer system I have to press the Towers reset button to reboot the computer!!!
Stop using DAZ Central and/or Connect to install the program and models. Do not login to DAZ within DAZ Studio, work offline.
Use Daz Install Manager or install Manually. This always works. Issues with DRM and Smart Content can be a mess. If you need smart content that could be a problem. If you know where content is installed and don't need smart content you will be able to find your content. If you need a smart installer there is a vendor in renderosity that sells a program that will help you install your daz files or free 3d content for you: It is called --->>>daz auto installer<<<--- I own this and it works decently. Haven't used Daz for over a year. I just started using Daz Central about 3 days ago. It's buggy. Couldn't even install Daz Studio. Installs just stops and goes back to the install button.

It is not reasonable to suppose that people are going to watch a one hour video, bear in mind that these forums are user-to-user. Please provide a d ewcription of the issue, with screen shots.
It isn't clear from your current description but it sounds as if you are using Daz Connect, installing through the Install pane inside DS or through Smart Content/Content Library - is that correct? And on restarting the application, or possibly the system, the products are again showing as uninstalled? That certainly isn't typical, security software is the obvious suspect but it could be some other kind of system utility reverting the database to an old version on restart.
I did watch some of the video and it is clear to me that your problems are user error. You have chosen to change the default install locations when you don't understand how the library and CMS database systems work. At this point a clean re-start is needed and as others have said you should use DIM to do the installing.
When Central installs "Daz Studio" it's installing all the support packages too - the various * Essentials and so on - so it may be one of those that is the problem. The log file should tell you. Install manager is still available, and still allows installing (and so tracking) the parts individually.
With Daz Central, you have to install the same assets over and over again. It's not that these assets were removed. It's just that it never got installed in the first place.
Seems to be a bug in Daz Central where installs time out and never finishes.
Daz Central doesn't have a screen that shows you your current download activity or queue. It doesn't have filters to show which assets you have installed. Wish it had filters so I can filter by category and which generation of models. I want it to show me all my Genesis 3 and 8 figures, hair, poses, etc... without having to look through a big list.
Use Install Manager instead - there are links on each Product Library page.
