Who let the dogs out?

OK not original title :) and if I've put this in the wrong forum, Moderator please move with my thanks.
I am the editor of a digital magazine named Dog Gone Art which basically covers .... you got it - dogs! Well the artistic side of the dog from art to photos to books and so on. In an ongoing series on digital art I found and fell in love with 3D art which is how I found my way here. On a personal note I'm having great fun playing with and exploring the genre. Oh for more time ...
So far the magazine has leaned towards the more traditional forms of art. However in upcoming issues of the magazine I'm hoping to continue to introduce more digital art to the readers. So if you have produced anything related to dogs (4 legged versions pls), please post your relevant renders to this thread by the end of October, 2014 as I'm hoping to find 5-6 artists for a feature article (will include bios, what software you use, etc along with some examples of your work) in the December issue. If you know artists who might have work that qualifies please let them know. If you don't want to post to the forum you can contact me privately.

Going to try to give this thread a boost! If you have done any renders with dogs please either post some of your images here or contact me privately if you prefer by the end of October (or earlier) as I really am looking for 5-6 render artists to be featured in an article in an upcoming issue of the magazine Dog Gone Art. Dog Gone Art is an award winning digital magazine and read by those interested in "dog" art including galleries, museums and auction houses that specialise in this field of interest.
To try to encourage interest in this thread I am going to embarrass myself by posting my first full rendered scene. :red: Be kind as I'm new to this and will hopefully get better... I've called it "Can I take it home?" Rendered in DS 4.6. Used: Dimension Theory's HDR Pro Sets Urban Recreation and his Strange Substance Pack 2 on Hatchling Dragon and Magical Granite Shader on the shell, Millennium dogs of course, Genesis & Basic Child. Some postwork in GIMP.
Now I know you can do better so let's get them coming!

I may have to think about this. I haven't done any dog renders, but there's a first time for everything. I'll have to see what I can do with Carrara's dynamic hair.
Is there any type of image that's more popular in your magazine than others? Such as outdoor shots? Hunting images? Dogs working, such as herding or on the farm?
Hi EvilProducer,
The magazine covers just about everything from the historical dog artist and art to modern though the digital arts is a more recent addition with an ongoing series on digital arts and various media. So whatever you can come up with will fit from the fantastical to realistic. If you want to take a look at the magazine it is free and the last 4 issues are up on the site. I don't want to include the link in case that is against the forum rules but just google Dog Gone Art and it comes up first. That might give you some ideas. Look forward to seeing what you can come up with!
Here's something I'm currently working on, a WIP rendered at low render settings.
If you are interested in one of the them, let me know and I'll do a proper render.
EDITED: Man, I just wish DAZ would update the dog. I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Dogs are my favorite critters. Here are two dog renders for your thread!
A few have done in the past:

Hi, Thanks for posting. This is certainly one to consider! Love the expression on the Dane.
Agree with you! There is a big market in dog art (Bonhams devotes a full sale to it in New York during the big Westminster Dog Show). It would certainly be worth the effort to update the dog....
Here's a couple of renders I did a while ago ;-)
