In a prior posts I said that all I wanted to do was transfer the Dragon 3 to Poser and had little interest in using genesis stuff. I decided to go ahead and try to use genesis in poser and went and downloaded the latest version of DSON importer. (circled in green)
In looking at the page for the importer I see I'm supposed to get (I think) is circled in red. certainly according to the instructions I'm supposed to have an installer for the genesis stuff.
In the download I see no such installer for genesis goodies. Am I missing something?
If I downloaded the genesis file for poser where would i find it once installed? I'm so confused.

Those bundled products get added to the product library on purchase so just click on the respective bundle items down there and you get to the specific downloads.

If you go to the Starter Essential, you will find the Poser file there (see attached image).
If you are installing via DIM (DAZ Installation manager), make sure that you have Poser selected in Options.

There is an old thread over in the Rendo Poser forum by JoePublic that will walk you through how to set up the Genesis stater content and PCF's the simplest and easiest way possible. Just run a search for his posts and go back a couple of years. My bookmarks recently got screwed up and I don't have them all back. If I find it, I'll edit this post as the link should violate any TOS.

sounds good I'll try that however I have another problem
I tried to us the install manager and it keeps asking me if I want to save the existing filter and if I say yes it asks for someplace to put it.
    A. what existing filter??
    B. assuming I wan to save it where do I do that??
    C. Why does it not let me continue if I don't want to save it?
D I used the IM to install the Gen Essentials without this hassle but I can seem to do so with the Gen2 stuff???

I assume that would be the download filter settings you have selected for DIM. You can save them anywhere. I'm not sure why it won't let you continue if you say "no", though.

One thing I found with the DSON and any products you want to use in Poser is to download them manually and install them manually the runtime you want them in.

When you unzip the files for the Starter Essentials and the PCF's, the top folder is usually Content. Poser can't handle this. You need to set up them up as you would any Poser external runtime.
