Versatile Tentacle Figure - Lots of Morphs, takes any tiling texture

Hey folks,

Here's a freebie I finally managed to package and upload.

Versatile Tentacle is morphing tentacle figure with loads of shaping morphs, Easypose dials for quick posing and it is UV mapped to take virtually any (preferably square) tiling texture or shader preset.

Rigging and Easypose based on free "Simple Easypose Tentacles" by awesome Davo, used and distributed with permission. Thank you very much for granting that permission, Davo! Link to Davo's site with many freebies is included in the readme, I won't include it here because it has adult content and much of it is NSFW.

There are a total of 40 shaping and styling morphs + 25 empty community morph channels for any new custom morphs you may (or may not) want to create. 8 material presets.

Useful as random pipe, tube, root, staff, hose, tentacle, worm, entrails, poop, etc. organic or mechanical. Easy to use in DS3 too.

PLEASE read the readme for more info and tips on usage.

And just for kicks a few more promo renders.

The wooden stick is actually two of the figures attached (one parented to the top of another), the bottom one is a lower poly version of the figure and the top one is high poly. This is how you can create longer tentacles with more more detailed parts where you want them.

The gothic cityscape is features four versatile tentacles, posing as skyscrapers and a weird flying monster thingy.

The brain is one of the included MAT presets.

Wow! I've always wanted to have a tapeworm of my very own!

Actually, the one that intrigues me the most is the wooden textured one. That would make wonderful tree roots, dead fall and hanging vines. Can't wait to try it out. Thanks!

Heh, tapeworms to go, provided by yours truly.

Don't tell anyone, but the included textures are more like a marketing gimmick. :) I think people will have more use use for their own textures, but it never hurts to have some nice textures included. Being mainly a DS user myself, the poser materials may be the ones that need adjusting (though the were made in Poser).

I think the DS mats should work with DS 2.3 (the last version probably) too, because that's what I used to create the DS mats. But I no longer have DS2 installed so I can't check and be sure.

Anyway, you're welcome guys. The renderosity upload is now online too, btw: http://market.renderosity.com/mod/freestuff/details.php?item_id=69056

And just because I've been watching the new tv series Braindead the brain pic made me laugh

I can see how non-modelers find this very useful

feather boas.... fur scarf... hair accessory... pose-able dreadlock....

Versatile Tentacle is the perfect name for this model. right now I'm using it as a ammo belt for a ceiling mount security turret I'm kit bashing.
