Trouble fitting prop to opposite leg.

I just purchased the Soldier 2.0 uniform set which comes with a leg prop that wraps around the right leg. Is it possible to adjust it so that it wraps around the left instead? I've read some other posts and tried a few different things, including unparenting the prop, repositioning and reparenting it to the belt but it seems to keep wanting to snap back to the right leg. I've also tried fitting it to specific bones in the area with no luck either. I'm hoping there's an easy way to do this but I can't figure out out. Thanks in advance for your help!

Is that a conforming item (that you "fit to" the figure) or a prop (parented to the body part?)

You should give a reference to that item, but generally no, you can't do what you want if this is conforming clothing

however, as I know there are scripts that can mirror model geometry so this should solve your problem.

Although, if this thing is not required to conform to the figure (like some bracelet), you can unparent and unfit it, then you can place it anywhere you like or parent to anything you want.

you cannot fit the item to "specific bones"  fitting process is when bones of your item are fused with host figure bones

Apologies for the limited info. The outfit in question is Soldier 2.0. Both the leg pounch and the belt it attaches to are labeled as accessories in my content library. When I load the pouch, it loads as fitting to the figure. Hopefully that helps clarify your question.

If there are conforming items then you might need something like this to mirror them: https://www.daz3d.com/mirror-geometry-for-genesis-3

  • Ah interesting. Didn't know that existed. Thank you! I run into this issue quite frequently with knives and guns as most outfits tend to fit right handed users with holsters on the right leg or hip. It's almost impossible to find something that works for left handed characters. Will check this out!
