Thanks, for the updates.
Is Mac OS support coming soon?
I'm noticing that when I tell Daz to Unity to export as an animation, it exports it as a skeletal mesh. In fact, there doesn't seem to be any way to make D2U export animations- at least not how the tutorial says. Is there another way to do it? Exporting as an FBX wont work- if I export without baking to studio keyframes I lose all my facial expressions, and when I do bake to studio keyframes, I get wild distortions in the bones which causes disasters like below:
Also, while there's been somewhat of an improvement with the hair in the last rev, I assume it's still an ongoing process? What sort of hairs work at the moment (that's Greer hair, and as you can see, it doesn't). Or is Genesis 8.1 not supported yet? (the character here is Victoria 8.1)
Thanks,
It works very smooth when sending a DAZ character, in this case Genesis 3 (iRay) to Unity 2020 with HDRP, but we need it to send to:
Unity 2021 using HDRP
Unity 2021 using URP
and likewise for Unity 2022 using HDRP, & URP
I'm most interested in URP while those only interested in using Unity as a render engine would be more interested in HDRP I guess.
And, I've got to say it, why no option for the Standard Render Pipeline in Unity (the Unity "Standard" shader, which is PBR as well)?
docs.daz3d.com/lib/exe/fetch.php/group/read_me/staging/72265/unitybridgeguide.pdf
Gets a HTTPD status returned of "Forbidden"
Can this be fixed please (NO animations get exported) for the Daz to Unity Bridge.
We're working hard on getting new updates for the Bridges out. Animations have already been fixed, but it may take time to get it officially released. I realize there haven't been updates in a while, but I'm hopeful they will be out soon. Thanks for your understanding.
Is this going to have such that I can, e.g., used DAZ Originals Leprechaun for Genesis 8.1 Male transfer him to Unity 2021.2.19 using UWP render pipeline. I mean I can get the old version to work with Unity 2020 release and the HDP render pipeline and then copy it over and start making adjustments in unity 2021 with UWP but I'm just trying to make things easier on myself.
Wow, the latest update to the bridge is fantastic. Thanks a lot.
Below is a Unity render of https://www.daz3d.com/fred-81
with the default lights and URP.
How do you get DTU to export using URP?
The new updated Daz to Unity bridge has 3 Unity packages available in Utils subdirectory,
that appears after the first export from Daz Studio to Assets folder in Unity project.
Just import the one, that relates to the render pipeline and the prefab will be created
with the proper shaders.
What about DTU to export using URP?
Hi is this update mean Daz to Unity Bridge 2.x, the one i got 6/23/2022?
I'm trying it out, seems goood but you can't seem to send full environments with objects( Like a room full of things or a house full of things). Even if you have in the FBX Options the Selected check box uncheckedd so that all are exporrted. it does export the objects but it doesn't export the materials for all the things, only for like 1 or 2 like in the FG Boxying gym i tried sending, only the bench gets a Material folder created nothing else. and then i seee a bunch of errors in Unity saying something about it. I use Unity 2021.1.28f1
What can i do?
