This week Daz released an update to the Daz to Maya update. Here are the items in the update. Enjoy!
- Fix export issue when for face morphs with changes to Daz Studio in 4.14
- Genesis 8.1 Facs Morph Support. Please note that characters must be selected to export the morphs.
- Now Supports 8.1 Characters

Daz instal manager offers version 1.6 only.
Do I have to download via dazCentral to get version 1.7?
Install Manager should have the newest version. What are you seeing on your end?
the version number is written on the import dialog box in maya: DazToMaya v1.6

The plugin in Daz seems to be 1.7, but the plug-in in Maya says 1.6. How can I update that one too?
Daz central is useless. You have to go to the update site and download code/ download as zip.

Thank you all for helping me with this issue. I finally got it working after hours of headache. I've made a video tutorial on my YouTube channel on how to fix this issue if anyone wants to look at it.
Thanks for the guide. Unfortunatly I can't seem to load the plug-in in Maya 2022. Whenever I try to load it in the plug-in preferences I get the following error in the scriptfile.
Error: file: C:/Program Files/Autodesk/Maya2022/scripts/others/pluginWin.mel line 316: invalid syntax //

When I look up line 316 in the PluginWin.mel file I see this:
catch(`loadPlugin $path`);
Any ideas?
It does however work in Maya 2020. So I still do have a workaround
I'm having this exact same issue. Anyone figured out a fix yet? I can't go back to a previous version of Maya as I don't own a prevous version.
I got the latest file from github. This one seems to work just fine.

What is not working, installation, sending, receiving? Any errors? What are your software versions and system details.
maya 2022 .... the plugin not loading in the plugin window in maya , it give error ( when i press on the plugin checkbox is not checked & give me error )

When you go to Maya to execute step 3 outlined on the bridge product page, this error appears. This is where...
Within Maya 0n the top menu... Windos > Settings/Preferences > Plug-in Manager >
Then within the the Plug-in Manager, when checking Auto load and Loaded
The plugin isn't loaded Auto load will accept the checkmark, restarting, uninstalling reinstalling rebooting, etc. none of that seems to change anything...
if you check Loaded, BAM the error appears.
For the record Maya 2022, Daz 4.15 and (just updated studio as well as the bridge)
Hi there! After new update from Daz plugin, I can't load the plugin on Maya 2019. On Windows>Setting>Preferences>Plug-in-Manager more than one DazBridge plugin are showed and no one works.
This is the error message
Error: file: F:/AUTODESK/MAYA2019/scripts/others/pluginWin.mel line 316: Plug-in, "C:/Users/WINDOWS/Documents/maya/plug-ins/DazToMaya.pyc", was not found on MAYA_PLUG_IN_PATH. //
Trying to load manually on Maya using the "Browse" option, this is the error message:

pd.1- On DazCentral > Settings, the Maya path locations doesn't appear (others lie unreal, 3ds, etc looks fine) but the maya bridge looks properly installed.
pd.2- I tried to reinstall the plugin again deleting the folder DazToMaya_Files on Plug-in Maya folder and on Maya Plug-in-Manager nothing is shown.
Before the update the plugin was working fine.
I tried the github files but problem persist.

I'm having the same problem with the update. Daz no longer saves to the Temp3D folder and saves to C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\DAZ 3D\Bridges\Daz To Maya\Exports\ENV\ENV0\B_ENV.fbx. Maya is still looking for the original Temp3D folder. Manually pasting the FBX into the original Temp3D folder does not help. The .mel script that was created before the update is now missing.
Hello! This is my first time posting in the forum, so sorry in advance if I am missing any info and/or I am not clear enough, will try to do my best.
So I made the mistake of updating to Maya 2022 and now DAZ and Maya don't want to comunicate any longer (I also tried to go back to Maya 20202, but it doesn't fix the problem :/) I go into DAZ, everything works fine, I can send the model through the Maya brigde, and then when I go to Maya, I can't load the plugin on the plugin manager! I can only see a DAZ on the shelf, but when I click it, I get the message attached in the image. I don't know what to do, I have followed the tutorial made by @Michael_a673f567d4, but that doesn't work either. My Daz to Maya bridge version is 1.8. I have uninstaled Daz and Maya several times, but nothing solves the problem. I am very worried because DAZ is my main tool for work and I see myself very limited... Has anybody else encountered this problem? Thanks in advance!
I took the download zip from github, put the .mod files and folder into auodesk modules area and the daztomaya seemed to work fine in 2020. In 2022 it gets a pymel error but I think it is a python version issue on myside
I got the same thing, and when I tried to run the plugin via the shelf button the plugin worked. Try and load the shelf button and start the plugin.
Exact same issue. Plugin is completely BROKEN now. Doesn't work in Maya 2018, 2020 or 2022.

With the version 1.8 update ım also having trouble with MAYA 2020. I tried both reinstalling from Daz install manager, and also tried it manually. But it always gives this error when ı try to load plugin from Maya's plugin manager window;

I Follow because I've problem with plugin
Before the DAZ update to 4.15 everything was ok, after the last update the plugin hasn't worked anymore.
There is a problem with paths and files in the Maya importer.. The FBX is exported but the Maya script can't locate the FBX. I've to load it manually (the material conversion is useless because not working).
I noticed the FBX has now the correct A pose (early was in T pose even for G8).

Now, some months later - I have the same problem with daztomaya 1.8 and Maya 2022:3. The Plugin is not listed in the Maya Plugin Manager and i can't add it manually. This problem prevents me from my work. Does anyone have any solutions? The Github version also doesn't work for me.
