I'm very happy to get a new beta. I downloaded and installed it last night. The installer took 10 minutes or more. The first time I though tit had hung up and I forced quit. I tried again with a bit more patience and it installed correctly. I spent a few hours with it last night and didn't notice any differences from 172. I'm using the 64 bit version on a Mac running OSX 10.8.3. I still can't use the spot render tool and I get crashes when saving files. Has a list of improvements/changes been published?

Not yet, minor timing issue, on our part.

I sure would like to get this downloaded and installed so I can play. Unfortunately I didn't take care of it when I saw it last night. Now my Product Library is not working, other than page 1.

Well that's disappointing, since those two problems have been widely discussed since beta 172 was released.

I had no problem installing beta 204, and so far see no difference on my computer.

I'm lucky to have an OS/video card combo that doesn't exhibit the spot render problem, but would think that this would be a top priority item to fix.

I'm looking forward to seeing the change list for this release.

not one for 8.5.0.204There was an issue with Mimic Pro for Carrara from before 8.5.0.172 and I believe that was fixed with a mimic build back then, but to make sure what you have is the one that works, I need to know which build of Mimic you have.

There is no specific build of Mimic Pro for Carrara 8.5.0.204.

8.5.0.204 is the build of Carrara I will recommend. (Should be in your account, expect the Announcement thread shortly.)

The Mimic Installer should be build 2.0.8.176, which, if I recall correctly, is Carrara 8.5 only.

Mine wasn't in Safari, but it worked when I tried Firefox.

I don't understand what the problem is, but it seems like just using another browser will kick it into high gear and get it downloaded. My Chrome wouldn't get it, but IE9 did. The glitch has probably been fixed by now.
