Eye compatibility especially with G2F

Hi!

Can someone who knows the kinds of technical things I don't please confirm, can you use G3F eye textures on G2F without problem or some kind of conversion? I've a 'Frankensteined' G2F character I play with a lot and would like to expand things a little. I've tried a couple of G3F character eyes on her and they seem to work, but was I just lucky or are they inter-compatible?

I know the answer's probably 'no', but do G8F eye textures map down to G2F as well?
