Coming back to Daz after a year and a half

For personal health reasons I had to take a break from using Daz Studio for about a year and a half. I have finally gotten back to where I want to use Daz and create things for Daz. So I know a lot has changed in 1.5 years. The last thing I remember was D-Force had just came out and started becoming popular. I see there is now Daz Central for downloading. I am very use to using DIM. Can I still download DIM? or Do I have to use Daz Central? What other things do I need to familiarize myself with?

Yeah, I'm in pretty much the same situation as you. So far I've noticed that the new 4.15 version seems to have some issues (for me, at least). Crashed during an Iray render on a scene that's worked fine in previous versions. Same scene locked up when adding a primitive.
As far as DIM, it seems to work fine for me, no interest in the Central thing. Maybe if I get a chance later.
Also seems like DAZ is getting big into developing bridges for other software, which IMO has always seemed like a smart thing to do to open up the store content to tons of other people. And maybe if they make it seamless there's less need to spend all those resources developing their own software.
Other than that I'm not sure. I was kinda hoping all the RTX excitement would develop into something really useful like super realtime Iray previews and stuff, but so far I haven't seen much indication that it's much more than another evolutionary "pay big bucks to cut a few minutes off a render" type of stuff.
Anyway, my scene has been trying to add a new primitive for about 10 minutes, so I think it's time crash it and start all over.
Yes continue to use DIM as Central is just a dumbed version of DIM. If you need to install DIM a link to it can found (slightly hidden) on just any product dowload of your account's Product Library.
Have you updated the NVidia driver to the latest version?
