Quickcart - worth keeping something that's never worked?

I was considering buying something tonight from the "Return Of Mayhem" sale category, plus a Gift Certificate to keep me going for the beginning of the PC sale (before I discovered the PA sale extension). I clicked the cart link, and down popped the QuickCart.

The one sale item so far in my cart showed up in the QC at the right 50% price. The GC showed up at the right 8% discount. The "Cart Subtotal" showed the price, ignoring the GC discount. Is it really worth it keeping this part of the store that almost always shows misleading prices, can't count, and has worked like this since day one?

Honestly, when will DAZ admit it's a total waste of time having this two-step process that's never worked and constantly confuses people who don't realise what's happening? Hardly a week goes by without at least a couple of forum posts that turn out to be caused by the QC. Why can't we just go straight to the cart when we click the cart link?

Either fix it, or dike it out.

(Sorry, the stupid thing annoyed me one too many times tonight.)
