Waiting for daz3d.com

I have never known a commercial website have so many problems. Once again and continuously since yesterday the site is so sluggish that it is hardly worth the wait. I visit sites all over the world, I watch YouTube videos and stream Netflix and Amazon - hardly ever a pause. DAZ is the one site that makes me wait - sometimes minutes - for a response. Too often it just times out and I get an error page. This has been going on for years - when are they going to listen to their customers? This morning I was in the process of ordering and paying for an item and it decided to stall on me. In those cases it is a worry whether your transaction has gone through or there is a problem with payment. Losing a connection in the middle of a financial transaction is the worst example but just generally trying to navigate the site is a chore.

    It is very slow, yes.

  • I thought was only me, thanks for clarify that is a global issue.

  • A lot of the time Daz will refuse to load if I'm streaming something with YouTube/Netflix/HBO. I've got gigabit fiber and I can load/navigate any other site at the same time without a problem. It's very specifically a Daz thing where the site (store pages, cart, forums) will just hang until I pause what I'm watching and give it ALL the bandwidth.

And even then it's slow! Today I keep running into blank thumbnails while browsing as well, things that for whatever reason refuse to load even when everything else has.

  • Same here.  Pauses right in the middle of posting to this forum.  What is their problem?  Very, very rarely ever have problems with other catalogs or sites.  Perhaps a voodoo hex in progress?  Which Carribbean witch doctor did they piss off?

Glad to hear I'm not the only one. I've just given up checking the site as often as I used to. As marble said, it's odd to see site breaking issues like these last so long after launch.
