Avoiding "PostgreSQL CMS connection" error message on start-up

I am using Daz 4.12.1 Pro (64 bit) and I run it without connection to Daz, choosing instead to load my content manually and run my library etc on an external hard disk.

Each time I open Daz I get the message A valid PostgreSQL CMS connection could not be established Plus some information on how this may limit my use of Daz.

Normally I just hit OK on the message to clear it then get on with my rendering, but I am now keen to try out the product called Render Queue and that product restarts Daz each time it starts a new render.  It won’t restart my Daz while I have this error message coming up.

So, I would be grateful if someone could tell me a way to stop this error message occurring.

Thanks in anticipation.

    How did you install DS?

I don't remember the details of the installation.

  • PostgreSQL has nothing to do with connecting to Daz, it communicates with DS using Internet Protocol but only on the local machine.

Is PostgreSQL installed? If so, what security software are you using?

Thanks Richard, not having heard of PostgreSQL I had thought, mistakenly it seems, that it was a Daz component.  I use McAfee for secirity.
