Fulgore from Killer Instinct

I am trying to make a new pic for my son. Fulgore is his favorite character from Killer Instinct. So far I am not really happy with the results. Definitely need some extra parts that I can not seem to locate. I would rather not have to do a ton of post-work in Photoshop to accomplish this. I also don't necessarily mind him looking a little unique as long as I have some of the more core and recognizable aspects.

Here is my first pass using Bot for Genesis, Tech Soldier Boots and the blades are from BioSquad Dragon Fly. The ponytail is from Stalker Girl. And the faceplate is from Cybersuit over at Rendo.

What I need for sure are some sort of Tube or Metal Wire cables to go from his face. I am including an image from the games Alternate Retro Costume.

Any suggestions?
