How to make clothes fit?

Two questions really...

 

1) I bought a character called MR Lya, what does MR mean?

2) MR Lya is a bit of a bigger female and therefore some clothes do not fit on her body. I tried to scale the clothes to make them fit, but it becomes a mess. Is there a better way to make the clothes fit? Also do bigger females like her require special clothing, should I be looking for clothes that have special characteristics to fit females such as her?

    1) This product was made by the vendor Marcius, so I assume MR is the abbreviation of the vendor name

    2) Is the clothing made for the figure? If you right click it and "Fit to" the figure, it should autofit at least reasonably well.

    Additionally you can add a smoothing or push modifier if the skin shines through.

    Under Edit > object > geometrie
