It looks like you can buy the empty apartment and the props separately, or buy them both in a bundle. I think it's a way to sell the props separately, but also bump up the costs of the bundle (environment/props).

  • I think this is the second or third time I've seen an environment with props separate in the past couple of weeks and I hope this is not how the trend is going to go. I'm not going to buy an environment and a separate set of props just to get the environment to look how it was meant to. And yeah, having just the environment without anything and the environment with the couches as an option was super confusing as well. I had to have two tabs open looking at both to make sure it wasn't the same thing, it was so confusing.

I don't quite agree here, it heavily depends on how it's executed. I mean, you can also look at this from another perspective: instead of just providing the full deal the author also allows customers to buy either the appartment or the props seperately. OR you buy everything in one go and even get a bit of a discount ($12,95 for the appartment + 12,95 for the props = 25,90, but the whole set sells for 24,95).

I think this is more than fair. What if you have enough props of your own and only want an extra environment?

  • I think the only problem here is, that

is not actually a bundle consisting of the other two. For me this is a packaging issue which
can lead to confusion and a duplicate purchase.

I like it. I am concidering buying the props set because that is all I am interested in. If it had just been the whole set I would have looked at it and probably not purchased because I do not care about the enviroment or the preset.  I only say probably at this point because of the discounted price at the moment I would really have to weigh the price against the items I want to see if it would be worth purchasing a whole set.  By offering just the props I can purchase those and not take up more space with an enviroment.

I do believe they could have been better listed as the Set or Bundle to clear the confusion that it includes all the items.

Especially since when you DO buy the complete set, the two sub set products continue to show as "Unpurchased" in the store.  This is inevitably going to cause accidental double purchases in the future and only add even more work in on top of the already overwhelmed customer service department.  I don't mind the two items being sold seperately as well as together as long as what they are is clearly indicated, but the way this was done is just stupid.

  • We have sent in a query about this.

Agreed. I can relate, tried it just now, you're right. This can create a risk of double purchases which is not good, this should have been a bundle of some sort. Maybe something the publisher overlooked? I can't help wonder about quality control on the market right now.

Because of the (IMO) totally ridiculous price for this I picked up the apartment and rustic house and this is some seriously good stuff IMO; author definitely paid attention to details and such and you get something that's really usable in many ways. I don't get the impression of a rip off of something like that here.

if it meant vendors could commit to make very high quality props and get more revenue for their trouble, i would be all for it but unfortunately the quality is typically no better than usual.

Almost all of the pro bundles are like this.I think only a handful of them actually include the starter bundles listed as included thus marking them as "Purchased" when you are on the starter bundles' page.

I've been using Daz Deals for so long I've nearly forgotten what it was like to not be able to tell if I own an item included in a bundle. lol

I guess it depends on where more sales come from. Do you go after the folks who will spend only 13 bucks for the environment with nothing included, or the ones who are willing to pay more for everything included. I totally understand that it comes out to X to buy them together and it's a little cheaper, but I won't buy two items to make one as I see it as a cash grab. Oh, you want the apartment to look like this? Well, here's a pack you have to buy to do so. If they'd sell it all for 25 bucks, I'd pick it up no problem because it's packaged that way, look, you get all this stuff for 25 bucks and it all looks great, but my perception of doing it this way is not in a positive light. All the power to the folks who are okay with it and want to pick it up a la carte, I just won't start doing it. Heck, I don't even buy texture packs for clothes unless it was to make the three purchases for a percentage off of a pro bundle when they were doing that.

You go to a store to buy a pair of gloves, you find a pair you really like for $10. Next day you decide to buy another pair in a different color. The sales person says you can have the right glove for $7 or the left glove for $7, however, they are doing a special deal where you can buy the pair for $12.

We've been buying like this for 3D clothes and hair for years now, the props vendors are just catching on to the idea.
