Help, DAZ is hanging out of nowhere.

I was literally doing nothing different. I did not install any new programs, I didn't change anything in the DATABASE for DAZ. I am on windows 10 and the only thing I did was to install two free products for DAZ off the store and at first, DAZ opening just fine. Now DAZ just hangs. I looked and the event viewer and it says this:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Event 1002

The program DAZStudio.exe version 4.15.0.2 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Security and Maintenance control panel.

I tried uninstalling DAZ and the Post SQL whatever, and reinstalling....still hanging. I deleted the LOG file and the DSX layout file, and nothing is working. Any help would really be appreciated.

Thanks.

  • But what exactly were you doing in Daz Studio itself?

Also... after it stalled and crashed; what did the task manager say about the postgres server? Was that still up and running?

You might also want to look into the DS logfile to see if that can give you any clues, you can find this in "%appdata%\Daz 3D\Studio4".

Honestly nothing, i just tried out the bark shaders i downloaded and then closed Daz. There were a bunch of errors like the one I shared nothing about what you were asking, it just hung there the next time i tried to reopen. I looked at the LOG file there was nada cause it wasnt even launching the interface.
