Cart oddity

I've noticed that when clicking an item's "Add to Cart" button from category- or store pages you're sometimes taken to the item's product page, instead of the category- or store page just reloading with the "Added to cart " notice.

For example, "Escalate Outfit for Genesis 2 Male(s)" in the New Releases category takes you to the product page, while "FWSA Tomsy" right besides it goes directly into the cart. Tried several times with each item, and the result is always the same.

In some cases (if you accidently already own the products where the button takes you to the product page) this might lead you to believe that this is a new feature: if the item goes directly into the cart it's because you haven't purchased it before, otherwise it will take you to the product page so you see the "Purchased" button. Would be nice if it was so, but unfortunately not, it looks more like a bug...

    I've noticed that too and thought perhaps I had just hit the wrong button. Was driving me nuts.
    Hitting add to cart from the first page often took me to the product page instead. I haven't kept track of which ones do that, there are way too many.

    In addition to that, sometimes when I tried to add the product then (after being taken to the product page) it said "maximum quantity for cart is 1" even though it didn't put it in my cart. Arrgggh!

    I had at least half of the last 16 PC items send me to the product page when I hit add to cart from the store page. Sometimes the product ends up in the cart even if you get sent to product page and sometimes it doesn't. So far I haven't found a pattern to it . Darned annoying though.

    I only add products to my cart from their product pages, or from my wishlist. In either case, I remain on either the product page or my wishlsit. I've always had to click on the My Cart link at the top of the page to actually get to the cart. This is nothing new since the new store was opened a few years ago.

    Right- we're not talking about getting into the cart- we're talking about the way the products are getting in :)

    Some products you can click on Add To Cart from the gallery page, and others send you to the individual Product page when you click Add To Cart while in the gallery.

    I've noticed this phenomenon as well and find it very annoying. Neither can I find a pattern. Doesn't matter if you've already been to the product page and gone back, or never clicked on the product page, sometimes clicking from the main page adds to cart, sometimes sends you to the product page. Doesn't matter if it's PC or not, doesn't matter if it's new or not.
