How do I save your current version of DS?

I am still using DS 4.12 and I want to move to 4.15. In the history of using DS I have always moved to the next versions without question and always have had no complaints. But I am not sure on this build and I want to save my current version to roll back to. Also I am just curious on how you save your current version as I've heard you can do this.

Is there a way to see the specs for 4.15? I want to know if my GTX 1060 6GB will works with the newest driver.

Thanks

Download the 4.15 beta. You can run both together. Don't download the full version or it will overwrite the old one.

Yes it is easy just go to the program files daz3d folder and make a copy of the current DAZStudio4 ( always do this because all Daz upgrades are very dangerous and often break things. scripts and plugins stop working)

for convenience rename the copy to DAZStudio4.12

If you want to run 2 version sides by side, just make a shortcut to the old copy. you can even run both versions at the same time

There is no reason to roll back anything

    Thanks

I have the same card as you, works perfectly fine in 4.15

  • Go to the DIM downloads folder and copy the zips for the application and its plug-ins (as those are version specific). If you want to roll back place the zips in the downloads folder instead of the current version then set DIM to work offline and you shoudl be able to isntall.

Backup the files when you download them.

Literraly copy the folder from the programs folder - usually works pretty good. It is easy enough to continue to use it, and without issues but that can't be guaranteed.

would be nice if they did it like in Unreal 4 where every version has its own folder
