  • What do you mean? New textures? New morphs? Resources for character creation within DS?

Creating characters and "easy" doesn't exactly mix very well.

Having said that, a very good (but dated) 3D editor would be Hexagon; the software is dated but despite that it's still very much usable. They're actually trying to revive it a little and a free beta version is also available here. Be warned that Hexagon has a learning curve, but it's an excellent piece of software.

Another option, also a personal favorite of mine, is ZBrush which can be found here. ZBrush itself is plain out expensive (but IMO also very much worth it) but even so it has a very specific workflow and well, isn't exactly cheap. Quite the contrary ;)  However..  they also have a stripped down free version called ZBrushCoreMini. Limited in several ways (see also their comparison chart) but you should still be able to do some fun things with it. I can't really comment on its exact feature set because I've only worked with the full product myself.

And last but not least...  definitely no favorite of mine but there's also Blender, A completely free of charge open source modelling environment. One could argue that it somehwat combines the functionality of all the above software (and Daz Studio ("sorta")) and rolled that into one program.

That should definitely be able to get you started.

  • I'd just like to create a piece or ask someone to create something for me but I don't know where to turn.

You are really going to have to be much more specific about what you want if you really want some help.

  • Since I can't model the pieces so I ask who could create a figure for me on the floor of my imagination. I would write everything specific in an email, for example. I just need a piece for the scene to animate with the finished characters I know.
