Zbrush Decimation master not working on Manderbulber Fractal

I am going bonkers here, I have used Decimation Master before on other meshes but a 3.8million poly Mandelbulber 3D export will not change it's polycount no mater what I do.
Other options such as saving as a ztool first, duplicating it, making it a polymesh3D don't work either
and trying to export a texture map as is freezes Zbrush for hours and I end up killing it in taskmanager
I can UV map it as uv tiles but pointless if cannot export the texture
otherwise could import it in D|S as is untextured anyway

oh it will work if I don't preserve UV's which defeats what I actually want to do as the original has a UV I added but won't export a texture from polypaint
( 12 hours later kill in taskmanager)
and is the one I want to use
I just need a texture
I never solved this, endless googling, tutorials later nothing I am doing is wrong it just won't work on Mandelbulber 3D fractal mesh exports
Did you also try MeshLab? It's free and allows to do things (but imho, its crazy unstable, though. in most cases it just crashes for me instead )
https://www.meshlab.net/#features
yes but doesn't do what I want, I can make a unified skin in Zbrush and Zproject to it and get a better result
but not what I want
I want to use the original object and export a texture and it's too big
