Lacrimal is too pale

I have a problem. Everything looks perfect when rendering, except, the lacrimal. They turned so white, like no color, normal healthy people have a reddish color in their lacrimals. They look ok before rendering, but after rendering they look so dead, everything else is fine. Can anyone help me?

That could be the specular settings or possibly the subsurface scattering. Are you using a standard material set or a custom set? Which figure, and which application?

I use Nyu on Genesis, and then I substitude the eyes with other V4 characters's eyes ( from Renderosity ).

Like Richard said. What is your specular setting on it? If it came from Rendo it is very unlikely to be supported in DAZ Studio. In which case you will need to adjust the specular, bump, and displacement by hand. I could be wrong about the support but that is normally the case.

Yes! You guys are right. The default specular strength setting comes as 100 %, the lacrimal color comes back to normal presence after I adjusted the specular strength %. Thank you so much, you're the men!

  • This is interesting and I am having a similar issue.
Could anyone here let me know where I can find the lacrimal material settings?

Which figure are you using?  Current Generation doesn't have a separate lacrimal it is part of the eye socket I believe.

Sounds kind of like the material on the eyes that you're using have 3Dlight or Poser shaders on them maybe?
