Thinning Hair

in Technical Help (nuts n bolts)

Is there a way to thin hair? Say, make clumps of it opaque. As if it were falling out.

I am guessing the answer is in the geometry editor, which I am not terribly familiar with. 

If it is possible then I will delve into the workings. If it just isn't going to happen, please tell me that now as it will save a ton of time!

Any advice appreciated.

    depends on the hair.

    you could try changing the opacity map on the surfaces tab to see what effect that has on the hair.

    alternatively, you can create your own thinning hair in the SBH editor, which will give you a lot of freedom.
