How to Remove/Adjust lighting that comes with environment?

Hello everyone, I have problem with "Tesla Hotel Room" that uncle Google doesn't seem to be familiar with ( https://www.daz3d.com/tesla-hotel-room ).

It looks like it includes preset light sources, but I am unable to select them in viewport (whole room highlights when moving cursor into viewport), in scene tab there are no lights either.

Any idea how to access those lights parameters, or at least a way to turn them off/get rid all together?

  • I don't have that product, but you mentioned there were no lighting in the scene tab.

I suspect the PA used emitters built into the models. goto the surface tab and look thru the walls, ceiling etc... you'll probably find something called 'ceiling lights' or 'wall lights', When you find them you can adjust the luminous flux values, intensity, temp, color.

  • That's the way! I haven't noticed the editor tab in surfaces before, thank you JVRenderer for narrowing it for a beginner :)

It seems that the interior is mostly focussed towards iRay usage. So if you're using 3Delight then any iRay features (such as those illuminating surfaces) wouldn't affect your render. Obviously this won't help you if you want to use iRay, but I figured I'd still mention it.

In case you are still watching this thread.

You can use the "Surface selection tool" to select a surface instead of the whole object. E.g. if you click the part of the object which might be a light emitter its surface will be selected automatically in the surface tab.
