geografts and UV mapping

I have the issue of losing UV mapping on geografts in Carrara 8.5 which is a known issue
it is also the case in Octane render I found
in carrara I solved it by using the transfer utility on the geografts just selecting morphs, transfering rigging figure space as suggested by Sickleyield for keeping bones and saved as a conforming support asset instead of a geograft.
but this does not seem to work in Octane, the UV mapping is still borked.
it is also broken in FBX export on geografts infact the mesh dissapears.
I am mentioning this again as I am beginning to loath geografts as opposed to fitted items
they seem to have so many issues
not the least being limited to the figure they are made for only.

BTW I am referring to tails and such though it applies to genitals too, just I do not use those.
