Need some help selecting tools from the store
Hi everyone, I'm new to Daz, and I want to be able to ajust body types, age, and nationality. Since I'm spending money on these tools, I don't want to just start buying things willy nilly. Can anyone recomend some good morph tools to give me a good "starter kit". I've been looking at a lot of tools from Zev0, but havn't pulled the trigger yet because I'm just not sure where to start. Thanks so much.

The DAZ morph packs for male and female a good start and very useful.

Genesis 8 Female Head Morphs | 3D Models and 3D Software by Daz 3D
Genesis 8 Male Head Morphs | 3D Models and 3D Software by Daz 3D
Genesis 8 Male Body Morphs | 3D Models and 3D Software by Daz 3D
Another good one is the aging morphs bundle :Aging Morphs Bundle for Genesis 8 Female(s) and Male(s) | 3D Models and 3D Software by Daz 3D
And the 200 plus morphs pack for really detailing the head and face: 200 Plus Head and Face Morphs Bundle for Genesis 8 Female(s) and Male(s) | 3D Models and 3D Software by Daz 3D
Agreed. the base morphs are a good starting point for body and face types and even in creating distinct nationalities. For age, you will probably need the aging morphs from Zevo.
Another cool tool for creating characters in the Simtenero randomizer which takes whatever morphs you select and creates unique characters.
Thanks Guys. Iwas also looking at a tool called "Look at my Hair" to create your own hair styles. is this a good tool for a novice? obiously I'm trying to get the best bang for my buck. Thanks
Daz Studio has a built in version similar to LAMH Strand based hair, DS built in one will also work (render) in Iray withot having to export it to an obj which is what you need to do with LAMH.
It should be noted that all those morph packs are only about changing a character´s shape. Just as important is their skin materials.
You can manually adjust any character´s skin to a certain degree but there´s limits to that. Ultimately the way to go is to purchase a few characters with a variety of skins.
For female characters there´s also Skin Builder, which I don´t have myself but I´ve seen recommended a few times.
Thanks everyone! I'm sure I'm going to have some more questions about tools, but until then, Thanks for all the info
Skin Builder is a great resource. It's very in depth so you can do a lot with it. I've used it a few times, but I also find that with the characters I've picked up over the years I have a lot of choice without the work.
I also forgot to mention that SickleYield has a set of 200 free morphs for Genesis 8 that give you the ability to tweak several areas. https://www.deviantart.com/sickleyield/journal/200-Free-Morphs-For-G8-Is-Out-756467073
