Updating Artist information in DUF Files?

in The Commons
After creating a whole bunch of material presets and a clothing object, I realize that my preferences had somehow changed back to my full name, and not "Starkdog." How can I edit these files? I tried opening the duf files in Notepad, as well as VS Code to only get a bunch of odd jumble wingdings, and not the "JSON-esque" file format. I could always try to re-save each item in D|S, but I'd rather just modify the artist name field via text editor. Does anyone have suggestions?
Thanks,
-David

You probably saved with compression on, so you need to de-compress them. Use the Batch Convert tab to process the files back to plain text. You can always re-compress them again after.
You can also use 7zip to "Open archive" to decompress the file and then use Notepad++ to edit them (much better than notepad)
Cool, I was able to use the batch tool to uncompress, adn then updated the author field via VS Code, saved, and everything took!
